Pay: From CA$18.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively. Duties • Perform routine cleaning of commercial and industrial spaces, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment to complete cleaning tasks • Conduct facilities maintenance as needed, addressing minor repairs or reporting issues to management • Operate heavy lifting equipment when necessary to move furniture or supplies safely • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas according to established standards • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding completed tasks or any concerns Skills • Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work or commercial cleaning preferred • Familiarity with facilities maintenance and basic repair tools • Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently • Strong understanding of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks within designated timeframes • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods • Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions • Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of all areas This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe environment while developing valuable skills in facilities maintenance.
