Aquatic Centre Slide Attendants
WATER SLIDE ATTENDANTS

The City of Camrose is seeking highly motivated, energetic and reliable individuals with a strong aptitude in customer service to join our Aquatics team as Slide Attendants. This position will provide safe guidance and direction to the patrons for the use of the Water Slide and Play Area. They will also assist in the maintenance at the Camrose Aquatic Centre.

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):
- Communicate and educate the public about safe, appropriate use of amenities.
- Perform safety and maintenance checks.
- Perform janitorial and cleaning routines.
- Assist with rescues and/or first aid situations.
- Related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bronze Cross and/or Slide Attendant certification
- Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification
- Water Safety Instructor certification considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dedicated and reliable with a strong commitment to teamwork.

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work include evenings and weekends. Weekend availability is required.

Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals is looking for EXPERIENCED Red Seal/Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians for safety-sensitive positions to add to our growing team. This HET will work a 7/7rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday) based out of our Camrose Shop that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us.

Technicians in our Central Region will earn a base rate of $46.03 - 48.45/hour. In a regularly schedule rotation (7/7) the tech will work 168 hours. 80 of those hours are paid at regular time, and 88 are paid at overtime.

+ Additional Compensation: Matching RRSPs, Vacation Pay, General Holiday Pay, Sick Time, Allowances (boot & tool), Bonus Structure and Group Benefits (life, critical illness & disability insurance, dental, extended health, vision).

The Job
- Check dozers, haul trucks, excavators and other heavy construction and mining equipment for proper performance of all major brands (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi)
- Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications

What We Need From YOU:

- A minimum of 3 years experience working with large construction and open pit mining equipment
- MUST include in depth experience with CAT, Komatsu, John Deere and Hitachi
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills

- A complete set of mechanics tools up to 3/4" drive
- Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance
- MUST be able to complete a Respirator Fit test and don a mask at any time while at work, which also means compliance with facial hair requirements to ensure a complete seal for the mask

The Job:
Shop & Field Attendants are an integral part of the team in a supporting role to ensure the high-quality maintenance of the heavy equipment. Attendants will be expected to work Monday to Friday for a minimum of 8 hours per day, with opportunity for up to 10 hours, based upon workload and demand.

In this position, Shop & Field Attendants are generally required to stand for the entire shift and lift in excess of 50 pounds. Being physically capable of doing the job is a necessity. An excellent Shop & Field Attendant will be:

What we need from you?

- Class 5 advanced Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract (*as you move into the apprenticeship track Air Brakes will be required)

Employment Opportunity LABOURER 3 - PARKS

The City of Camrose is seeking an energetic and reliable individual for the full-time permanent position of Labourer 3 in the Parks section of Community Services. This is a unionized position under CUPE Local 1425 and is inclusive of a 6-month probationary period as per the Article 11.02 of the Collective Agreement.

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):
- Communicate effectively with members of the public, users and other employees.
- Perform and support event and program set-up and tear-down in various facilities.
- Work in all related areas of the Parks operations which includes (but not limited to): mowing, pruning, pest control, applying pesticide, landscaping, beautification, managing and handling urban wild life, and snow removal.
- Maintenance and operations of turf management, cemetery, horticulture and arboriculture, urban trails, and outdoor rinks.
- Safely operate and maintain light equipment such as rubber tired farm or industrial tractors which may include attachments such as front end loader, plows or sweeper, aerator, self-propelled road packers, small self propelled machines such as sweepers, snowplow equipment, weed sprayers, trailers, and all types of trucks
up to and including single axle trucks.
- Perform basic manual labour using hands or common labour tools, complex hand held and affixed power tools and machines, light maintenance to equipment and vehicles.
- Assistance with other City operation functions as necessary and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with the public and contractors in a professional manner.
- Ability to exert moderate physical activity, work at considerable heights, and work outside in all types of weather and environmental conditions year round.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (an air endorsement considered an asset, but is not required).

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Shift work and overtime will also be necessary to address operational requirements.

HOURLY WAGE: $25.33 per hour in accordance with CUPE 1425 Collective Agreement.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

FULL TIME UTILITY OPERATOR
Operating out of the Camrose Public Works Yard

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: As per Camrose County policies and the Collective Agreement with the I.U.O.E. Local 955.

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Public Works, the Utility Operator position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of County water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as assisting with maintenance of County right of ways, hamlets and bridge file projects. The Utility Operator will also be required to accurately document and record safety processes, work, and inspections undertaken using the County's electronic format.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 Diploma or G.E.D
- Certification in Water and Wastewater Level 1 in the disciplines of Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Wastewater Treatment or the ability to obtain certification within one year.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Competent knowledge of computers and ability to effectively use applications and software
- Clean driver's abstract and criminal record
- Physical capability to perform heavy manual tasks
- Available to work overtime hours if required
- Available to work on call hours as scheduled
- Ability to work effectively with other employees and the public

HOURS OF WORK:
