Arts Centre Office Clerk
The City of Camrose is seeking an energetic and reliable individual for the casual position of Arts Centre Office Clerk.

- Assist with the management and implementation of bookings and registrations for classes and workshops.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to patrons and general public using the facility.
- Receive payment and other related duties.
- Create documents, surveys, forms, posters, tri-folds, flyers etc. and distribute as necessary.
- Set up and take down of events.
- Set up and take down of birthday parties (and hosting as required).
- Other duties as required.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrating an acceptable standard of personal behaviour in the work place.
- As pre-condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory class 5 Driver's Abstract and Police Information Check.

The hours of work for this casual position will be on an as required basis and will include daytime, evening, weekend and statutory holiday shifts.

Heavy Duty Mechanic
The City of Camrose is seeking a permanent, full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic for the Fleet section of the Public Works department. This is a unionized position under CUPE Local 1425 and is inclusive of a trial period as per the Article 11.05 of the Collective Agreement.

- Inspect, repair and maintain gas and diesel powered heavy equipment, trailers and attachments such as mobile and stationary single/tandem axle trucks, rubber-tired farm or industrial tractors which may include attachments such as front-end loader, plows or sweeper, self-propelled road packers, etc.
- Adjust or tear-down equipment to repair, replace or rebuild defective parts, components or systems, as required.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle and equipment repairs.
- Conduct safety inspections and quality checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Complete administrative documentation and tasks associated with repairing vehicles, parts usage and orders, and accounting for repair times as related to the position and job duties.
- Other related duties as assigned.

- Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certificate required with the qualifications to perform the duties and meet the applicable requirements of a mechanic and as per the Collective Agreement.
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection License preferred, but not required.
- Experience with various aspects of equipment repair as it relates to municipal equipment inventory is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others and provide technical guidance in a professional manner.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic, with the physical ability to perform duties of the job which include bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting.
- Valid Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement is required.

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Shift work, on-call and overtime will also be necessary to address operational requirements.

HOURLY WAGE: $36.02 per hour in accordance with the CUPE 1425 Collective Agreement.

Senior Manager Of Public Works
The City of Camrose is looking for a dynamic, proven leader to fill the role of Senior Manager of Public Works.
Reporting to the City Manager, the Senior Manager of Public Works is responsible for executing the Public Works department's vision and mandate through leadership of all aspects of Public Works services and infrastructure maintenance, including water, sewer, drainage, fleet and roads services.

The Senior Manager of Public Works provides strategic and technical advice to City departments, Council, related working
units and committees on a variety of operational matters. This position will play a significant role in overseeing and managing the operating and capital budgets, establishing best practices in managing public works operations and promoting a team focused workplace designed to service the community with respect and accountability.

- Post-secondary Education in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a transportation-related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of leadership experience at a management level.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in municipal operations, specifically related to project management, roads, underground infrastructure, transportation and procurement is required.
- Supplementary certificates or designations in local government programs, project management, water or wastewater or related field considered an asset.
- Experience with managing organizational change initiatives, and determining and setting goals and priorities based on organizational mandates and initiatives.
- Experience in the preparation, management and execution of operational and capital budgets and strategic plans.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of people, including senior management, private and public officials, business and community leaders, advisory boards, union officials, staff and the general public.
- Fully experienced in the use of MS Office with advanced computer skills.
- The successful candidate will be required to produce a satisfactory Driver's Abstract and Police Information Check.

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work are generally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Management duties will require work outside of the core hours as part of this role.
