Aquatic Centre Slide Attendants
WATER SLIDE ATTENDANTS

The City of Camrose is seeking highly motivated, energetic and reliable individuals with a strong aptitude in customer service to join our Aquatics team as Slide Attendants. This position will provide safe guidance and direction to the patrons for the use of the Water Slide and Play Area. They will also assist in the maintenance at the Camrose Aquatic Centre.

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):
- Communicate and educate the public about safe, appropriate use of amenities.
- Perform safety and maintenance checks.
- Perform janitorial and cleaning routines.
- Assist with rescues and/or first aid situations.
- Related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bronze Cross and/or Slide Attendant certification
- Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification
- Water Safety Instructor certification considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dedicated and reliable with a strong commitment to teamwork.

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work include evenings and weekends. Weekend availability is required.

The Camrose Police Service is accepting applications to fill casual positions in the Communications/Dispatch Centre. These positions will require the successful candidates to have a flexible schedule and the ability to come to work on short notice.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, this position provides support to the public, Police Service members, Bylaw Officers and City/County Fire Departments.

DUTIES/RESPONSBILITIES (but not limited to):
- Various administrative duties including data entry, typing informations, court documents, processing collisions and operational files.
- Receiving, recording and dispatching complaints received from the public and relaying information by radio.
- Dispatching emergency/non-emergency calls to Police Officers, Bylaw Officers and Fire Departments using computer aided dispatch (CAD).

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER:
- Working nights and dayshifts including weekends and holidays.
- Work on short notice and overtime to meet operational needs.
- Will experience crisis situations and must have the ability to multi-task during these events. These tasks include taking phone calls, relaying information to responders, conducting database queries, listening/responding to radio traffic all while remaining calm.
- Will experience fatigue working 10-12 hour night and dayshifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Ability to type 50 words per minute.
- Ability to multi-task while using a 2-way radio system in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to deal with the public and other agencies in a friendly, courteous manner.
Due to the nature of this position and requirement for attention to detail in a high stressed environment, a suitability test may be conducted.

The City of Camrose Fire Department is seeking dedicated, reliable individuals to join our team as Paid On-Call Volunteer Firefighters. Firefighters are responsible for protecting the public from the dangers of fire and other hazards. They control and extinguish fires, respond to medical calls, vehicle extrications, maintain equipment and practice fire
prevention.

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, and rescues.
- Operate firefighting equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform fire suppression activities including hose line operations, ventilation, and salvage.
- Conduct search and rescue operations as needed.
- Provide medical assistance and support until advanced medical personnel arrive.
- Participate in training sessions and drills to maintain skills and stay updated on firefighting techniques and protocols.
- Maintain and clean firefighting equipment an apparatus.
- Assist with community outreach programs and fire education initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age and a Canadian Citizen or a legal permanent resident.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
- Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical fitness with the ability to pass a medical examination acceptable for the position of Firefighter.
- Standard first aid and CPR-Level C.
- Have a strong desire to serve the community and strong work ethic.
- Must reside within a 6-kilometer radius of the Camrose Fire station.
- Successful candidates will be required to produce a satisfactory Driver's Abstract and Police Information Check.

HOURS OF WORK: Hours of work for this position will vary depending on emergencies, and can include daytime, evening, night, and/or weekends, with the expectation to attend Tuesday night training sessions from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Employment Opportunity - HEALTH & SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, the Health and Safety Administrator is a proactive team player responsible for the overall management of the City of Camrose Safety Management Program.

FUNCTIONS/DUTIES (but not limited to):
- Develop, implement, administer and maintain the City of Camrose Safety Management Program and monitor compliance with all relevant legislation including the development of all policies and procedures applicable to the Health and Safety Program.
- Monitor the Incident Report System. Analyse safety statistics including near misses and all lost time incidents.
- Liaise and manage any active claims with Workers Compensation Board (WCB) and any Return to Work claims.
- Ensure proper documentation processes are set up where necessary such as training, testing and competency of all staff.
- Provide oversight to the retraining/recertification requirements system.
- Develop materials to facilitate the employee orientation process in regards to Health and Safety.
- Audit to ensure Contractor compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, (OHSA) Regulation and Code and Alberta Environment standards and guidelines, including hazardous material abatement services for the City.
- Coordinate and implement the required internal and external audits (COR/AMHSA).
- Provides guidance and direction to all areas of the organization with respect to health and safety.
- Lead and train members of the internal Health and Safety Committees as required.
- Work in conjunction with General Manager of Corporate Services in developing short and long term Health & Safety plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary certificate/diploma/degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Minimum of three (3) years health and safety experience. Previous municipal experience considered an asset.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or working towards.
- Demonstrated ability in the creation of a Health and Safety Program through the development of overall structure and applicable policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Knowledge of PIR/COR programs requirements in OHSA, principles and practices involved in training personnel.
- Alberta Class 5 driver's license and valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple demands at once.
- Current AMHSA Peer Auditor Status considered an asset.

HOURS OF WORK: The hours of work for this position are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Heavy Metal Equipment & Rentals is looking for EXPERIENCED Red Seal/Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technicians for safety-sensitive positions to add to our growing team. This HET will work a 7/7rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday) based out of our Camrose Shop that is motivated, committed and wants to grow with us.

Technicians in our Central Region will earn a base rate of $46.03 - 48.45/hour. In a regularly schedule rotation (7/7) the tech will work 168 hours. 80 of those hours are paid at regular time, and 88 are paid at overtime.

The Job
- Check dozers, haul trucks, excavators and other heavy construction and mining equipment for proper performance of all major brands (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi)
- Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications

Marketing Director
REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY:
Marketing Director is needed for our busy office in Camrose, AB. We are looking for someone to work part time in the evenings from 4-9PM four days a week and one day on the weekend from 10-4 with opportunity for increased hours depending on production.

Professional Cleaner
Looking for individuals willing to work flexible scheduled hours on a contract basis.

Person needing to be greatly detail oriented, and capable of working long hours in varied environments, requiring some lifting, bending, stretching, and working on varied floor surfaces.

Must have current WHIMIS and current first aid. Must be bondable. Current criminal record check is required. Reliable vehicle, proper PPE and steel toed shoes/runners are required. Previous residential and commercial experience is an asset.

Must be legal to work in Canada and speak English fluently. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Part-time and Full-time daytime positions available too.
